Dear future pet owner,
We would like to introduce ourselves. My name is Elena and my husband's name is Roman. Our cattery is family based, all kittens are raised with all our family members, including two of our children, and two Maltipoo dogs. All kittens are very well socialized, playfull, affectionate, cuddly, and gentle. I am currently working on my education in Veterinary field and will obtain the diploma in 2024.
Before you decide to adopt a kitten from our cattery, we would like to provide you with some information to ensure you fully understand your responsibilities as a pet owner. This article addresses common questions and aims to cover as much ground as possible:
We want to assure you that we are completely honest and legitimate. You can find us easily by searching "USA SoCal Maine Coons Newlogica Cattery" on Google. We are registered with TICA under California State Maine Coon Breeders, and you can verify this on Tica website: https://www.tica.org/breeds/find-a-cat/breeder-listings . Additionally, you can check our Facebook page for reviews and scroll through our history to see that we have been established for some time. While our website www.usamainecoons.com, is currently under construction, it's link redirected to kittycoon.com and currently available kittens are listed on www.kittycoon.com/kittens and our social media – Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Our working hours are from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm Pacific Standard Time.We no longer maintain a waiting list; instead, we operate on a "First come, first served" basis.
Due to cattery and family health, as well as security reasons, we do not allow visitors to come and see kittens. Interaction with kittens is not permitted until a reservation has been made. However, we understand your need for reassurance, and we are happy to provide all information, answer all your questions, provide photos, videos, conduct real-time video calls, and furnish our cattery registration for your peace of mind. We do not hold kittens without a reservation. We have closed our waiting list due to inconvenience.
As mentioned earlier, we are TICA and CFA registered, with over 20 years of breeding experience. We are educated in veterinary, felinology, knowledgeable about feline genetics, and well-versed in veterinary care. Our cattery operates in Temecula, CA. We breed Maine Coon cats exclusively and do not sell breeding rights except for registered, educated, well-experienced breeders.
Our adoption fees for typical types and colors start at $3000 with a deposit ranging from $500 to $1000, which is non-refundable under any circumstances. Older kittens or those with health issues might be offered at a reduced adoption fee, with health issues disclosed along with signing the contract.
Adoption fees cover a range of expenses, including the cost of Sires and Dames, veterinary visits, food, supplies, care, medication, seven months of 24/7 work to raise and socialize a kitten, vaccines, wellness exams, and everything that's needed to raise healthy and happy kittens. Fees must be paid in full before or on the day of pick-up, and transaction fees must be covered for payments made via Venmo, PayPal, or any other financial institution. Kittens must be picked up within seven days of the assigned pick-up date to avoid additional fees. For additional time, please contact us and explain the situation when you need delay kitten's pick up.
Our adoption fees include: up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, tick and flea prevention, TICA registered pedigree (or breeder's slip), parents' or kitten's personal genetic tests, cattery passport with vaccinations, deworming records, and microchip information, wellness examination prior leaving the cattery.
Based on our experience and latest scientific studies, we recommend spaying/neutering kittens at six months of age. TICA registration will be provided after we receive the Proof of neuter/spay. Kitte's microchip must be listed on all veterinary records.
Purchasing a kitten is the beginning of financial responsibility, not the end. We encourage potential adopters to consider the long-term costs associated with pet ownership, including premium foods, veterinary care, and additional supplies.
All Sires and Dames in our cattery undergo genetic testing for disorders such as HCM, SMA, and PKDef. They are also tested for Felv and Fiv. Kittens are vaccinated against Rabies, Feline Calicivirus, Feline Rhinotracheitis (FVR), Feline Panleukopenia. Additional tests requested by the adopter are at their own expense.
We offer a health guarantee covering the first year of the kitten's life for life-threatening birth defects and/or genetic disorders. If such defects are detected within the first year of life or if surgery is required to maintain the kitten's quality of life, we provide a replacement or partial/full refund, depending on the situation. In case of a kitten's life-threatening condition, full veterinary records must be provided, including the kitten's microchip number. In the event of a kitten's sudden death, a necropsy must be performed to confirm the cause of death, and the necropsy record must be provided.
Please note: we do not cover developmental health issues, viruses, bacteria, parasites, or fungi. We are not responsible for unforeseen health concerns or any issues arising from lack of proper care, nutrition, or environmental factors.
After adopting a kitten, we recommend visiting a veterinarian within 72 hours for a health check, even we perform wellnes examination for each kitten prior leaving the cattery. It is essential to provide the kitten's full microchip number and DOB to the veterinarian for their records.
We advocate for responsible pet ownership and encourage prospective owners to consider the lifelong commitment involved in caring for a pet.
If you agree with our terms and are interested in adopting a kitten, please contact us for future steps and adoption process.
